Greetings musicians and listeners , we are Man At The Window - Scotland's own Reggae writing and production team. Gerry Coogan & Kyle Robertson, both born in Glasgow during the swinging sixties, started working together in 1980 and after a wee hiatus to raise a couple of families of reggae-ites, have recently reformed to write & record the band's first own-label album release, "Revelations". Now, having completed the initial demo recordings, we, (like everyone else), are looking for backing to release this reggae album beyond our independent limitations.

Influences - Man At The Window have had the good fortune to have opened shows for many of our idols, including artists such as Aswad, Misty in Roots, Eekamouse, Yellowman, Clint Eastwood & General Saint and Steel Pulse. Sadly, we never got to perform with Bob Marley. Outside the reggae genre we love the production values of Steely Dan, the songwriting of the Beatles,Bob Dylan, Brian Wilson and Paul Simon, the genius of Stevie Wonder and so the list goes on.
We particularly admire 47 guitarists, 19 keyboard players, 8 bass-players, twelve drummers and a partridge in a pear tree, all of whose names we can't remember at the moment. Another powerful influence would have to be a good woman, which nobody can deny. Crying

Over the last quarter of a century dozens of fine musicians have been part of the Man At The Window live act, an act which has drawn praise from many reggae luminaries (including Jackie Mittoo, UB40 and Linton Kwesi Johnson) as well as rock artists as varied as David Bowie, John Martyn, Alan Parsons and the Simple Minds.
The band has usually been based in Central Scotland but has gigged all over Britain and Europe. (Will somebody kindly invite us to play in the USA?) The time has come to hit the road again - so we'd like to hear from any British-based musicians who'd be interested. The work is waiting!
